Atelier Ejoo

Atelier Ejoo is a center for art and knowledge Co-founded by King Ngabo to foster creativity, learning, and cultural exchange. The name EJOO comes from the Kinyarwanda word ejo, meaning both “yesterday” and “tomorrow,” reflecting the belief that creativity is rooted in the past while shaping the future. Through exhibitions, workshops, artist talks, performances, a community library, and collaborative programs, Atelier Ejoo brings together artists, researchers, writers, and the public to explore ideas, share knowledge, and celebrate contemporary African creativity. It serves as a platform where art becomes a catalyst for dialogue, education, and social impact. Atelier Ejoo envisions becoming one of Rwanda’s leading cultural hubs, nurturing emerging and established artists while connecting local communities with global artistic conversations. By bringing together art, research, and innovation, it seeks to inspire creativity, preserve culture, and empower future generations.
